Willow Walk

We suggest that all interested families join us for our interactive tour referred to as a “Willow Walk.” These guided tours allow you to pass through the classes while they are in session and have an opportunity to truly experience our learning environment. “Willow Walks” are scheduled, visit our tours page for dates.

Application and Assessment

The Willow School requires a student visit / assessment for all applicants. During this time your child will be assessed academically, socially and emotionally. There is a $50.00 non-refundable fee to begin the application process. Please inquire for for more information, and call to schedule your child’s student visit today!

Transcripts

A copy of all previous report cards, testing scores and 504s or IEPs where applicable is requested when submitting your child’s application.

Acceptance

Collaboratively, The Willow School’s administration and teachers will carefully review all previous transcripts as well as the assessment from your child’s visit. Acceptance is based on the ability to meet the individual needs of each and every student.

Registration & Enrollment

After your child has been accepted, a $500 non-refundable deposit is required. This fee will reserve a place for your child and will be applied toward their admission fees.

Waiting List

If your child has been accepted but the class is full, the child will be placed on our waiting list. If a space becomes available, the administrative team and teachers will evaluate the completed assessments to recommend a student to fill the vacancy according to the specific dynamics of the classroom. The non-refundable enrollment deposit of $500 will be due upon notification of acceptance to the newly opened enrollment space.

Kindergarten Age Policy

A child may enter Kindergarten if they are 5 years old on or before September 1st of the enrollment year, unless pre-approved by the Administrative Staff and Teachers.

Immunization

All children entering public or private schools in Florida must have proof of the required immunizations. Exemption from the immunization requirement is approached on an individual basis. Please contact the Indian River County School Board in Vero Beach for more information.
