Learn More About Our Scholarships

The Willow School is certified to accept state scholarships even though we are a private school. Below are two your family may be qualified to receive. These scholarships typically pay all or some portion of tuition.

McKay Scholarship – Students with an IEP (Individual Education Plan)

Children who have an Individual Education Plan (IEP) and have been enrolled in a public school for at least one year prior to admittance at The Willow School are eligible to receive funding toward a private school.

These awards are usually more than $5,000 per child. Please keep in mind that many children who have an IEP may need supplementary services such as tutoring or work with other educational specialists. Depending on the award, these costs may be additional.

For more information, visit the Department of Education’s Office of Independent Education and School Choice Web site at www.floridaschoolchoice.org.

Step Up For Students – Low Income Scholarship

This is a need-based scholarship fund and is available to families who meet the financial criteria and are interested in sending their children to a private school but need scholarship money.  A child must either be entering kindergarten or have been enrolled in a public school for at least one year prior to admittance to The Willow School. These awards are usually more than $5,000 per child. Visit Step up for Students to find out more. www.stepupforstudents.org.
