Govinda Reinhalter, M.Ed.
Co-Founder & Executive Director

Govinda has been working in education for over 30 years. He is a certified Waldorf teacher and is a proponent of project based learning. Govinda has a Master’s Degree in Education from Antioch University and is also certified in elementary education. In addition to teaching, he holds a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and is a certified self-defense instructor. He also has extensive business experience, serving as a Vice President at Macho Products, a manufacturer of martial arts protective gear for 13 years. Email Govinda


Stephanie Heady

Stephanie serves as Principal of The Willow School. She has a wide background in administration that includes over 15 years working for education institutions, non-profits, and small businesses. Originally from the Treasure Coast, Stephanie and her family moved to Costa Rica for six years where she taught English as a second language. Upon returning to Vero Beach, she joined the Willow family. Additionally Stephanie holds a BA in Business Administration and holds several certifications in early education. When not at Willow, Stephanie enjoys time with her family, being outdoors and she loves to travel.  Email Stephanie


Rachel Collier
Office Manager

Rachel has been working with children in elementary education for the past ten years. In her previous school position, she ran a busy office where she focused her energies on administration and public relations. She also successfully implemented a new art program and opened a school library. Rachel is a mother of two, loves to travel and dedicates her spare time to Vero Beach’s Theatre Guild. Email Rachel


Felicia North
7-8 Math & Science Teacher

Felicia has been teaching at Willow since 2008. She is a certified teacher and holds a dual Bachelors’ Degree from Lincoln Memorial University in English and Fine Art. Prior to joining the Willow Staff, Felicia lived in Takasaki, Japan where she taught English as a Second Language, focusing on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, writing, reading, and American culture. Felicia has enthusiastically embraced the project based learning at Willow. Email Felicia


Peter Turner
7-8 Language Arts & Social Studies Teacher

Peter was born and raised in Vero Beach. In 2010, he graduated from the University of North Florida with a BA in History. He was a Boy Scout from the age of five and is a lifetime member of the National Eagle Scout Assoc. Peter is a Board member for Florida Diabetes Camp and is a counselor each summer. He co-founded an organic, sustainable farm in Sebastian and has taught classes for adults and children. Peter joined Willow in 2014 and is passionate about making school engaging. In his free time he enjoys fishing and camping. Email Peter


JenniferJennifer Adams 
5-6 Science & Math Teacher

Before joining Willow, Jennifer was employed by the Indian River County School District, teaching since 2004 at the elementary middle and high school levels. She is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University and is currently certified in secondary social studies and middle school math. Originally from Minnesota, she served in the United States Navy where she was stationed in Hawaii for four years and vowed to never live in the cold again. She loves living in Florida and especially enjoys water activities. Email Jennifer



Brooke Mullins 
5-6 Language Arts & Social Studies Teacher

Brooke studied at The University of Florida and earned her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with an ESOL endorsement. Brooke taught math and science at The Willow School from 2007-2009. While taking time off to start a family, she has worked with students as a private tutor for the past six years. During this time, she opened and operated a local tutoring and enrichment center in Vero Beach. Brooke looks forward to returning to The Willow School to teach full time.  Email Brooke


Jessica Martin
3-4 Science & Math Teacher

Jessica began teaching twelve years ago while working at an orphanage in South India. Returning to the US, she taught as a middle school and art teacher. In 2010, she moved to South Korea to teach K-4 in one of the most prestigious ESL schools in Seoul. Jessica holds a BFA in Illustration and Art History, and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Exceptional Student Education. She is certified in ESE and Art K-12. Jessica also loves dancing, yoga, and art. Email Jessica


elizabeth swannElizabeth Swann 
3-4 Language Arts & Social Studies Teacher

Elizabeth is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University and holds a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership and Research Methodology. She has worked in the areas of Adult literacy, K-12 Education and Early Childhood Education.  She is actively involved in her community and a member of many non-profit organizations. In her free time, Elizabeth makes efforts to continue her research and scholarly writing, relishes her fantastic book club, enjoys entertaining her supper club friends, and loves date night with her husband. Email Elizabeth


Kylee Peterson
K-2  Teacher

Kylee received her BS in Elementary Education with a Pre-Primary Specialty (Ages 3-3rd Grade) through Minnesota State University Moorhead with an ESOL Endorsement. Kylee began teaching 1st Grade in Minnesota, where she was born and raised. In 2013, she moved to Florida. Beside her passion for teaching, Kylee enjoys learning to play guitar, singing, beach time, fitness and books about holistic health. Email Kylee


Laurie Lindeman
Art Enrichment & Media Specialist

Laurie is a professional artist and graphic designer who enjoys teaching children. As a Willow parent since 2008, she has assisted in all the Willow classrooms. Her second favorite subject is math. Laurie’s first love is hands on activities and art projects bringing her love of art and enthusiasm to the classroom daily. She has extensive knowledge of both graphic and traditional art. When she is not in the classroom, you can find Laurie on her computer updating Willow’s media.  Email Laurie


Crystal Glenn
Reading Specialist

 Crystal joined Willow’s staff in 2013. She holds an AA Degree in Psychology and is currently working on her BA in Education. In the past she has worked with preschool aged children, ran her own business as a personal assistant and worked for a Psychologist specializing in family therapy and conflict resolution. Crystal is passionate about education and inspiring children to be the best version of themselves. She is a mother to four who are all at Willow too. Email Crystal


Riley Heady
Teacher Aide, Spanish & P.E. Specialist

Riley is currently a student at Indian River State College where he is pursuing a BA in ESOL/Elementary Education. Riley was raised in Costa Rica and speaks fluent Spanish. Riley enjoys working with children and has been a private tutor for math and Spanish over the past 3 years. In his spare time, Riley enjoys diving, camping, and kayaking. Email Riley


Hugo Martell, Jr
Teacher Aide

Hugo is currently a student at Indian River State College where he is pursuing a BS in ESE\ESOL and Elementary Education. He currently holds an AA in Elementary Education. Hugo enjoys working with children and has been teaching Martial Arts for the past 7 years. In addition, his hobbies include: skateboarding, and cars of all types. Email Hugo
